Welcome to Rose City Open XX!
Every year the Rose City Open hosts tennis players from the gay and lesbian community over Labor Day weekend, providing the
opportunity to compete and socialize in the beautiful and friendly city of Portland, OR. The tournament is a GLTA-sanctioned event with
proceeds benefiting the charities the
Q Center, the
Cascade AIDS Project, and
Portland After School Tennis & Education.
Draws
Men's and Women's events. Open, A, B,
C, and D; a minimum of four players to have a draw. Draws will be limited to: Open(16), A(32), B(64), C(64), D(16) players or
doubles teams. If draws fill up, players will be placed on a waiting list. All events a player registers for must be at
the same level, there will be no split draws.
NEW THIS YEAR - For those who can't get enough tennis, we will be offering a doubles mixer, on Saturday evening as matches wind down
provided that we are not behind due to inclement weather. The mixer is free for entrants and $10 for non-entrants. Sign up will be at
the tournament desk and mixer matches held at Portland Tennis Center. Because we are not having a mixed doubles draw this year, this
would be a great chance for those interested in playing mixed doubles to get in some friendly competition and meet your fellow entrants.
Space may be limited and more details will be known once the draw times are set.
